Hello everyone! It has been a long time. I have been very busy and have not had time to do much but i am making time to make sure that this website stays current. We need help from everyone out there. Anyone who has and ideas or comments that could improve our website let us know. We would appreciate it very much. If anyone has any pics of local demolay that they want on the site email them to me. Also lets get some talk going about different fundraising ideas that all chapters in Montana and all of demolay could use. I know there are some good ideas out there so lets hear them. I encourage anyone to post their ideas. Meetings here in Glendive should start to get together again come school time which is less than a month away so either dad stinnett or i will be bring updates to the forums. Well that is all for now. Hope everyone is having a great summer.

Well, I was hoping and telling everyone that the building renovation project would have been done by now.......IT'S NOT!!!! After 5 years of dinking around and firing one engineer, the fellas in the Lodge....."think" they have a plan..??? ::) The roof will be done by the end of fall. The General Contractor will begin some renovating of the upstairs lodge room so all meetings can be held in a regular lodge Room once again. The DeMolay Rec Room has been almost completely ripped out. A "restoration" company is coming in to seal off the walls after they treat em for mold growth. I will be there to remind the Lodge that will put it back together.....better than it was before!. What does all this mean, well I have had to cancel all rec nights in the building. We have had one Pizza Night to discuss future of the building and our needs. We will also scale back meetings to 1x/mo with rec nights to 1x/month. Some activities to take place at the Black Bridge Fitness Center for BBall and VBall. The fellas are still busy with fund raising, setting up tables and chairs for community events and cleaning up the mess at the Lodge. We are well on are way to earning $$$$$$$ for the Sweet Re-Treat and Skiing in Fairmont again this year. The fellas promise not to break anymore bones this year!!!!!

I hope to get pics to Josh to get em up on the web site, however I need to see more enthusiasm for it too. If any DeMolay is out there....Montana, Etc. drop a line. We may come visit. I have mentioned to the Chapter that there is usually a Masquerade Ball in Billings every year...... we may just show up to teach ya a few moves....??? ;)

Fraternally,
Dad Stinnett

Sorry Tim, I hadn't checked in on the site for a while. Nice to hear from you. There is plenty to write about and update the forum, I just have been very busy. The Chapter is Dark for the summer at this time, but there are activities planned. I am the Chairman DAD Adv. ,(well only advisor). Remember the trip to Conclave many years ago in your car, trying to memorize 3rd Preceptor part as well as RD Ceremony. Speak to your dad often in my line of work as well. Drop a line.

Greetings All,

My name is Tim Cook. I a PMC of the old Yellowstone Chapter and knew Harold Ullman. I did not know that the name had been changed and think that it is quite fitting that you chose him to name the chapter after. I hope all is well with the chapter and look forward to checking in here from time to time to see how you progress.

Cheers,

Tim Cook

The Sweet Retreat is scheduled for March 1st. Hope to have 10+ fellas there. Our new State Dad is an Aquatics Instructor ;) Soooo, whats the deal on swimming after the banquet ??? is this safe Dad Whitehead ;D

Our fearless Web Designer is back after college career. We are all proud to see has "done been educated". ??? Hope to bring y'all new pics of fund raising events, fun and general DeMolay brevity.

On a sincere and sad note. Montana DeMolay lost a great young man....Joshua Miller of R.C. Day Chapter, Bozeman, MT. Please pray for Josh's family. http://www.legacy.com/Bozemandailychroni....rsonID=99146232

Just a quick update.
Harold Ullman Chapter will not be able to hold our Annual, (almost 30 years), DeMolay Haunted House this fall. The Masonic Lodge is under heavy remodel and construction of new roofing system. The building will be all but unusable for the months we need to construct and have our Haunted House. Needless to say the boys are very disappointed and we are out of a substantial fund raiser as a result.

The fellas keep plugging along however and we are scheduled to set up the bi-annual Glendive Gun Show next week. The boys will also be re-establishing a rundown park in Glendive this fall. The old basketball courts in the Glendive Prospect Heights will get a face lift and TLC with new paint on the poles, boards and court. All free for the community to enjoy. The Chapter also participated in a conjoined effort this summer with the Glendive Lions Club to pick up litter along interstate 94.

I am happy to report we are anticipating 4 new eager fellas to join Harold Ullman Chapter in the next few weeks.

On a sad note, Montana DeMolay has lost our State DAD Adviser. Wade Sellers has resigned, as family and business have been consumed by his unselfish appetite to ensure Montana DeMolay's success. Wade will be missed but Montana DeMolay will continue with leaders he has inspired to carry on that "light" and enthusiasm that can be found all around the world in that Brotherly spirit that is DeMolay!!!!

Montana DeMolay's web page is back up.....check it out at mtdemolay.org.

Drop us a line......

Just wanted to drop a line of news. The Harold Ullman Chapter recently completed a another year of activities. We will not regularly meet until August 27, 2007. We ended our regular term with a conjoined effort of Lions International and DeMolay International, hi way cleanup. The fellas and one DeMolay mom, (Thank You Ginger!!!), joined forces with the local Lions club to cleanup 2+ miles of interstate 90 passing through Glendive, MT. The group had great time and more "joined forces efforts" are planned!!! We all ended the day with meals and treats at the Dairy Queen. Harold Ullman Chapter also has several boys greatly interested in joining their friends in all our efforts and activities. We are looking forward to 3 new brothers in September. Our Chapter members are busy with baseball and end of school year sports as well as family graduations and trips. Harold Ullman Chapter will be breaking in a new adviser this fall as well and I am very grateful for the opportunity to offer the fellas more adviser time for more activities. The fellas have plenty of ideas for the summer fun.

Harold Ullman Chapter will kick off the fall with degree work and then immediately start construction on the annual Haunted House.

Drop a line to us.

 07' Sweet Retreat

Harold Ullman Chapter traveled a combined 950 miles this past weekend to attend the 7th annual Montana DeMolay Sweet Retreat in Fairmont Hot Springs. The event was deemed a success!! There were many DeMolay, approx. 90 of us and maybe 60 young ladies from Rainbow and Jobs Daughter Chapter across the State.
Harold Ullman Chapter had 7 fellas and all had an excellent time swimming, eating, dancing and meeting their fellow DeMolay.
I observed lots of comradrie and nothing but respect for all the ladies and the resort staff.
Next year, the Harold Ullman Chapter is planning to arrive a day early, ski Discovery Basin all day Friday, eat good food, swim and share the brotherhood memories that is DEMOLAY !!!

Pics will be on the web site soon.
